Perhaps a Christmas party
Without the Snowman, not very hearty?
Maybe they’ve passed, the festive games so fast,
Without old friends, the type that last….?
On Christmas night everyone celebrates and makes merry. On Christmas night miracles happen. Christmas night means festivities full of warm smiles and merriment…

We are all part of Planet Earth. This is our home. It treats us with love and understanding. Its warming soul is both beautiful and eternal. It befriends us and gives us shelter. With open arms it provides us with everything we need. And all we do is trample over it, turn it into a big rubbish heap and destroy it. How do you think it feels?
Our daily negligence harms the oceans, forests, plants, animals… and one little seagull who gets stuck in an oil spill. With her last breaths she gives birth and leaves behind a solitary egg…
The play is a stage adaptation of Luis Sepulveda’s novel and draws us into the adventure of a gang of tomcats who find themselves with the unusual task of looking after the baby seagull and... teaching it to fly.

Music: Hristo Namliev
Featuring: Maya Bezhanska, Rumen Gavanozov and Marieta Petrova
Are we setting out to find Don Quixote? Does anybody ever set out to find anything at all in this time of "advertisements and news"? Doesn't this turn our communication into one big quixotic jumble? You won't find Don Quixote anywhere in this story. And as we all know, every empty space gets filled with something. What do we fill our souls with? How do we replace our childhood, our dreams, our fantasies, the petty rebellions in our personalities…? Are we even personalities at all? Where are our giants, our windmills, our olive groves? Where are the sunrises? Is everything really behind our backs? Is it really true that after all this quixotic jumble we can't see our faces in the mirror? Are we crying? Are those tears? Don Quixote will make you laugh til you cry. Go ahead and sniffle a little…
The play is superb with awards for leading male and female roles, scenography, music, direction and new dramatic text. The play also won the main ‘Golden Dolphin’ award for the best play at the 14th Golden Dolphin International Festival, Varna 2008.

There are so many different meanings of the word “beauty” to be found in old classical fairytales…equally intriguing to both young and old..........

|
|
 |
|
 |
An original monodrama by Dimitar Todorov.
Set design and puppets: Diana Uzunova, Dimitar Todorov
The play is based on the fairytale by the same name from A Thousand and One Nights. This is one of Scheherazade’s best fairytales, but this time around the storyteller is not the beautiful princess but the genie from the lamp.
Leading us through the fairytale and introducing us to the characters the genie is in fact telling us his own story. He helps Aladin and the princess not only because it is his job to introduce them both, but also because he knows how it feels to be alone
On completing his hardest but most rewarding task of uniting these two lovers, the genie wins his freedom from the solitude of the lamp. But is this what he actually wants? Will this be enough for him to be able to find some friends to tell his story to?

Maugli is the little child in each of us: weak, naked, trusting, lacking the fear and cruelty of civilization, symbolizing the purity of a child’s soul. Maugli holds an open dialogue with the wild, with life and death, learns the laws of the jungle, and unexpectedly finds himself at a crossroads: he must decide whether to stay in the jungle and obey its laws or to embark on his human quest. Which will prevail—the laws of human civilization or those of eternally living and changing nature?
